FAR and DFARS clauses, in a spreadsheet
The clauses are public. Working with them is the hard part. So we put both regulations into Excel and made the files free to download.
Anyone who who has ever read a government contract or a defense purchase in the Aviation Sector, especially on the DLA contracts has met a never ending list of clause numbers. Most of which come from the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and from the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS). Each one can change what you must deliver, record or report.
Both regulations are publicly available, but they are published as web pages built for reading one section at a time. Moving between parts, comparing clauses, or checking a list from a contract against the source takes longer than it should. And worse even, for anyone who doesn't want to deal with the website, or use a bit of time to automate the referencing process, this might result in more than one headache.
Hence, to make all DLA contractors and defense procurement manufacturers life easy, we built spreadsheet versions of the FAR and DFAR in good old Excel. The spreadsheet lets you filter, search, sort and join the clauses to your own data, and even use macros to automate or Vlookup inside the data. We are sharing it for free, and anyone who needs the FAR or DFARS in Excel can get it free from us.
Download the files
Both files, and anything we add later, will live on our Resources page.
